My brother bought me this game for Christmas. I spent a month playing it everyday and recently finished the game. I was familiar with the Persona Revelations series from my youth and completed both Persona 3 and Persona 3 FES games.

Incredibly smooth game play, new team combat system that plays along with your social links, new and old persona's
This has to be the funnest i've had all year playing a game :|

There is still one ending however that I haven't seen yet. I won't blow the story for european players that just started playing yesterday but if you need any help finding anything please feel free to ask . The best advice I can offer is to not panic and hang in there. There's still more game to see if you make the right decisions :|

This is easily one of my favorite games. I love any type of RPG, especially SRPG games. So many aspects to the game from the sim element, the classroom quizzes (with irrelevant, but interesting information) for bonus items, the fusing, and then the story and actual RPG meat of the game. I'd say the only issue I have with the game is that the enemies on the dungeon maps are the same amorphous blobs.

Played this game back in December of 2008, and blew through it in a week or two. Manged to get the true ending first, and didn't bother replaying for the "lesser" endings, just watched them on Youtube since I had played the furthest into the game. I eventually plan on going back and doing all the side quests and extra bosses and such, but I've been busy with other games.

I love Atlus in general, though. Many of my favorite games are at least published by Atlus here in the states, if not developed by the Japanese developer. Disgaea, the Shin Megami series (I just picked up Nocturne on ebay a few weeks ago), and Devil Survivor (though it's technically Shin Megami) on DS recently was another great title.

:| I've almost completed the higher fusion table (Four spread, five spread and so on) lol I always forget to check the fusion forecast's and a bonus will be granted and i'm like whoa, cool

I like how some of the cards are updated from previous decks or rendered a different color

You know, one of the side quests for Konishi Liquor store can be accessed in the tv world through the character Yosuke at the lobby screen you know where everyone starts and the velvet room and exit are off to the side (don't wan't to give it away) :|

I remember studying for the tests to try and get the right answers, recipes for lunch heh
I would like to find some more trailers for Persona 2. I'm signed up with the atlus mailing list so I have heard of Devil Survivor, that looks pretty cool man. I did some digging and found this for you http://www.atlus.com/ scroll down to the bottom left of the screen to sign up for the mailing list :| Persona Revelations will be making an appearance in stores soon on the PSP :| I would like to try Nocturne, I saw the opening movie on myspace and it looks pretty sweet. Devil Summoner was actually released on the Sega Dream Cast I was reading in wikipedia. Devil Summoner 2 looks like it takes full advantage of SRPG elements :|

I really need to go back to Persona 4. It's such a good game. In hindsight, I wish I had played 3 first. I had heard about it, and almost picked it up, but passed on it for whatever reason. After loving 4, I picked up a copy of FES, and played a decent amount of it. But for whatever reason, it didn't hold my interest as much as 4 did. Probably because I absolutely hated not being able to control my full party, and having party members make stupid decisions at times. I let my friend borrow it, and will play through it eventually, but I don't think he's even started it yet.

I'm on already on the mailing list. I'll look into the Persona remake eventually, but I need to pick up a PS3 first. I haven't really played much Nocturne though. Sadly, it's a bit dated, and didn't grab onto me as I expected it would. It's probably because I hyped it up so much, and was expecting the best game ever, so that's my bad. Once again, as with Persona 3, I'll play through it eventually, and embrace the great game that it surely is, but for now my interests are held elsewhere.

A few days after I became addicted to Devil Survivor, I returned to Fry's and picked up one of the remaining copies of Devil Summoner 2 with the plush. I've yet to play it, as I have little time, and a stack of games to play through, but I figured I'd rather pick it up and be safe, than have to buy an expensive copy on ebay at a later date.

Yeah, I kind of screwed myself out of buying it early on due to bounced checks. (Devil Summoner 2)

I think the fighting system in Persona 3 & FES might have been the same as in Persona 4 (it's been awile since I played persona 3) storywise think of FES as the origins of the characters in Persona 3

Try going through tactics on your menu when in battle. There you have options to conserve sp (great for boss fights), fight freely (it's the default) so on and so forth. The social links are the same (except no team attacks) only thing you really have to worry about is using the restroom regularly, and watching your condition (this did add a realistic element to the game) some persona attacks (Melchezedik) for example are actually stronger when your character is tired or if there is a new or full moon outside.

Hehe, my brother always warns me about playing older games because he knows i'm a game collector
I just recently wen't back to play Enter The Matrix on ps2 (improved combat system in Path of Neo)

Yeah, FES just as an extra scenario added on Persona 3, but it's close to the same combat system as 4. The only major difference is you can't directly control your team mates, which is a killer for me. Even though the conserve SP, All out, and other options are great, they just can't compare at all to manually controlling your own team mates. :(

Oh yeah, that was how the system worked right? lol It's been awile since i've played Persona 3. The story is very interesting, mainly based around Thanatos or the idea of death. On the back cover there is another concept for cover art which was based around you know, death, school, etc. and the boxed set comes with an art book with some really cool stuff in it.

Persona 3 is cool because you learn the history of the shadows (Kirijo group, Persona 2 - Persona Revelations).
