Necrotic Obsession

Sunday last week I had the girlfriend over for the night. We were alone, I made us a nice meal (pesto, garlic & olive oil pasta with a nice layer of sautéed vegetables and crumbled feta cheese with a nice white wine), afterwards the lady had a special request: a long, hot shower together, which we took, and afterwards she didn't even let me the time to get fully clothed before pushing me on the bed for a long, enjoyable lovemaking session. The morning after, she has to leave after breakfast, but before asks me to take another shower with me. We both had separate plans for the day which couldn't wait much, so I told her that we would take one the day after (tuesday). She tells me she'll call me on tuesday to do something, and that since I don't work the sunday after, she wants me to come over on saturday.

Now we're on tuesday. She doesn't call me at 11am as she usually does so I call her at 1pm. She tells me that she'll go see one of her (female) friends this day, after all.

At about 4pm, she calls me and asks me if I want to see her this evening. Of course, I gladly accept.

6pm, she comes at my house, asks me to follow her in my room, and... dumps me, after explaining to me that she thought about it for a long time.

wtf? if she was thinking about dumping me for a long time, why didn't she give me a few clues the day before, like, not asking for a hot shower and sex together, and not making plans for the week after?

The fact that she left me was hard the first 2 days, but now, I'm seeing the bright side of it, and probably wouldn't take her back if she asked me, but still, I have trouble understanding our last few days together!

that is weird. did she get hit on the head with a dumb stick? sounds like ur a pretty awesome guy... can and will cook, and romantical ...lol maybe you were too much for her. so how long were ya'll dating if you don't mind me asking?

InfiniteChaos: She's actually smarter than a lot of people I know, but she has a certain tendency to get angry without any reason, and is slightly melodramatic. A nice girl nonetheless. The big problem in our relationship is that I (almost) always see everything on the bright side and tend to take most things a bit too lightly, which isn't her case unfortunately. I have my wrongs, though, you can be sure about that!

Well not to demean her.... It doesn't make sense why she would spring this on you. Seems to be my luck. The first year is great and its like that 2nd year is the "shit, or get off the pot" phase. Good luck mate...

I'm very sorry, ars_anima. I was so surprised when I got to the "...dumped me" part because it started with such romantical (stealing Infinite's use of the word) promise!

I have thought about it, and it really just doesn't make any sense. Perhaps, like Nympho said, she wanted one last romp with you before breaking up with you. But why the breakup is the question! In that regards, I think the general consensus, if I had to guess, is "WTF?" I'm like InfiniteChaos; it seemed that you were an excellent boyfriend. But if I had to take a wild guess as to why she would do this, I'd say that this is another irrational response on her part to something you unknowingly and/or unintentionally did wrong. I really feel like she'll regret this move.

Again, I'm really sorry. It seems that you are doing okay, but I understand wanting to understand the reasons for certain circumstances, especially when those circumstances are ridiculously unexpected.

It's weird indeed, and we talked, so I got it a bit clarified... She told me she still loved me, but didn't feel happy anymore. I guess she needed change and a breath of fresh air... However, I would've liked if she had given me a few clues before dumping me. Like not asking to have sex the night before :p

If I look at it another way, I'm quite gratefull, because it wouldn't have been cool if I was horny when she came to say goodbye...

I'm doing pretty fine, actually, and I'm not bitter or anything, spending a few hours with my friends talking about love & life while strolling in a cemetary on the most beautiful night helped me understand that although she's the sweetest girl, she's not what I need and I'm not what she needs. She's a bit too "normal" to stay happily with me :p

However, a few minutes ago I looked at a picture of us at christmas and she's so damn cute and it made me miss her so much, so that group hug is definitively welcome! thanks!

I mean yea ok getting broken up with always sucks but just to go about it in such a weird almost underhanded way. (like I mean MOST people can tell when a relationship isn't working out and ther'es obvious signs thing are winding down.).
