Just got back from seeing this with my GF. Loved it.It follows a young girl through her childhood during Irans revolution against the Shah, to her escape to Europe and return after the Iran/Iraq war. The story was quite sad without wallowing in preachy misery or pretentious dialogue, but humorous enough to highlight the fact that people tried to live normal lives despite living under such enforced cruelty. The animation was top notch and very stylized with some awesome cutout scenes. It's too bad most American's will not see this flick since it can clearly illustrate that it's not just a nation of bloodthirsty militants.
