Not too much into the present version of minimal tech, and electro (house/breaks) are far too pervasive in EDM now.

I think of alot of Plastikman, Jeff Mills, Minus Records type stuff as being "minimal"

Breaks are my main thing, but for techno I prefer the bumpin' or acidy type stuff. A track with a four on the floor kick has to have some body and aggression if I'm going to listen to it for a whole set.

It's good for the style it is. Alot of "electro" stuff annoys me because it's just low-fi kitsch retro nonsense for hipsters who think any EDM that isn't a mash-up of 80's pop culture minutia and bare Fruity Loops 808 patterns is beneath their listening standards. This really doesnt venture there, so I can appreciate it. The Kitten is High track would make good remix material for some harder styles.

Psy is good stuff.....usually.

There's some good psy-breaks type stuff coming out now. I've been working it into my sets lately.

I'm running Traktor with a Vestax VCI100. The home studio has a NI Kore 2 controller and a Novation Remote 25SL for the effects section

except replace the shitty Numark Total Control with this:

I've been using ableton for producing for a while, but I'm only just now having some friends introduce me to using it for sets. Definitely a whole different way of approaching it. I'm having problems training my head to get used to not cueing the waveform up.

Producing for 10+ years.

Only started to spin sets within the last 2 years though. Not sure why I waited, but it certainly re-newed my interest in the music.

I was fortunate to have that 10 years as extended training watching all my friends, so when I jumped in, it came pretty easy.

You have any sets recorded?

If you're around Glasgow, you might have heard of a guy called Loops Haunt. Does dubstep, but it's not the typical wobble wobble white-boy-rasta bullshit. Far more on the sketchy side.
