Rules/FAQs

1.-No banners or pictures in signatures. We will however, let very small images slide, such as a little image the size of a board smiley, or at most, those egg hatchlings. Please do not take this exception and go overboard with it, having to track down and contact members VIA PM to ask them to remove an image in their signature can be an annoying task, especially when it involves communicating with the other admins as well, to make sure they haven't already sent a PM themselves.

With that said, if you DO have a large picture, image, or banner in your signature and we are unable to contact you in a timely manner, we may remove the image ourselves and then you can expect a PM explaining why it was done.

This is a rule we have always had in place, for a few reasons. Having large pictures and banners in signatures increases the loading time on the site, clutters up threads with piles of pictures to scroll through, and creates a lot of loading problems for those on dial-up/slow loading internet.

2. Adult content. As a general rule and guideline, we keep the general areas of the forum PG-13. This is because we have underage members here, and it would not be wise nor acceptable for us to be providing adult and/or sexually explicit content to minors.

18+ content is welcome in the Adult Swim subforum. That is what it's there for. Please read the membership rules and requirements before requesting to join the group if you are not already a member.

There is a bit of a grey area here, and it can be difficult to say what qualifies as inappropriate for the general areas of the forum. To put it simply, no nudity and definitely no explicit sex photos or links.
If you are a minor, please be extra careful as to what kind of photographs you post on the forum. While you may think a photo is "ok" because you aren't standing there completely naked, this may not be the case. I am sorry, but we can't have preteens posing in bikinis, bending over in a thong or with their bits and tits hanging out.
Use your judgment, and if you have any doubts, please, feel free to contact an admin for clarification and/or answers to your questions concerning what is and isn't appropriate for peep show.

This also goes for avatars.

3.- Keep the flaming, heated arguing and personal attacks to the Meat Grinder. That is what that forum is for, and while you are not expected to be all rainbows, sunshine and lollipops, you should not be posting "You are fucking stupid, shut up and fuck off" all over the forum. I can understand frustration with other users, this happens, it's a message board with many members, so you are bound to come across people that rub you the wrong way. Use your better judgment, and ignore them if need be.

No flaming admins. This is a rule that has been in place since day one.

4.- Spam. It happens. Don't worry about it if you come across a blatant spam thread or post filled with links to offshore pharmacies, drugs, porn sites, etc. Once an admin sees the thread, it will be deleted (or a Moderator may move it to the trash), there is no need to reply to it, and please, please do not click on any links contained in a spam or spambot post. Not only may this incur more spambots to return, you may also be putting your computer at risk to spyware, trojans and viruses.

5.- Custom titles. The "title" beneath your username cycles through different default titles based on the number of posts you make. Once you reach 500 posts, or have referred 5 or more members to the board, you may request a custom title here: http://necroticobsession.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1022

6. Posting pictures. If you are not sure how to go about posting a picture, the first thing you need to do is upload your photo(s) to a photo hosting website that allows offsite linking. Some examples are Photobucket, and Imageshack. Once you have uploaded your photo, you can get the photo linking code from the website, and from there, you copy and paste the code into your post. It will look something like this (without the spaces and obviously your picture URL will be different):

That about covers the basics, and note that these rules may be modified, amended or added to at any point if the need arises.

As mentioned above, underneath your user name, you have a title. This cycles through different titles depending on how many posts you have, and goes as follows:

How To Reply to Topic/Thread: When replying to a thread, either click the "Quick Reply" or the "Reply" button, NOT the "New Post" button. If you click the "New Post" button, you will not be replying to/posting to an existing thread, you will create an entirely new thread.

How to Create a New Thread/Topic: Click on the "New Post" button. Please take some time to browse the forums to avoid making threads that already exist and are active.

How to Browse the Forum: You can either click on various forum titles to enter that section (which may also contain subforums and usergroups), or you may use the drop-down navigation tool, located on the bottom right of the page. This will display a list of various sections of the site and when you scroll and select one, you will jump to that forum/group/section.

Again, please take the time to browse and read various areas of the forum to get a feel of how things work around here, what the rules are, to see what topics are already posted and being discussed, and what kind of topics go in the different areas of the site.
