Animals that live in scarcely populated areas tend to be hermaphrodite e.g most fish and other organisms of the sea, insects and so on.... in order to carry on the breeding process, evolution process and to stop extinction.
Unsurprisingly enough, most plants tend to be hermaphrodite also.
