I'm sure some of your have seen this show thats coming to animal planet this sunday. I personaly think there may have been some kind of flying serpents that ancient people like to add a few "details" to. There are some interesting ideas out there such as This one which states dragons where really comets. I suppose it does make sense. So what are your thoughts on this subject?

I think dragons did exist because form various cultures around the world have their dragon stories when these cultures had no contact with each other.
Dragons are drawn to initialise which culture drew them!

You are aware that, while most of the cultures have some sort of reptilian beast, there are not enough similarities between them to guarantee dragons ever existed, right? And if they actually did, where are the fossils? I can't say i know as much as i'd like to about the subject, I'll try to learn more about them if I have the time, but the things I know now tell me that they never existed. Well, unless you decide to call the winged dinosaurs dragons ;-)

I was actually going to say this exact thing before you said that LOL. I do infact think that there are universal similarities: scales, wings, basically reptilian... Now the reason for doubting this, would infact be WHERES THE EVIDENCE!!! i am torn on this subject....

But as for being pagan personally, there are different planes of existance in my beliefs that actually accept dragon as being an animal that exist(s)(ed)....

But for this world, and this plane, Ahh im afraid the basic laws of nature hasnt provided enough proof sadly. Bit of a skeptic on the Scientific Thought of the matter. Unless as you said WINGED DINOSAURS. that is believable.

Its the age old questions of do you believe in mythical creatures, Fairies(fay), dragons, trolls, mermaids(mere), those little goat/men -lost the name of what they are called.... Makes you ponder.

Perhaps it is in the minds of only the most imaginative that are allowed to see such things. That is why they say that children are very intuitive towards ghosts , another skeptical debate, perhaps i'll post on that~
