ok ay i remembered this from last night as i was just about to go to sleep tonight.

at some point last night during my dreams there was an animal be it the house cat/the house dog/or even a wolf came to me. and during it i realized it was licking/trying to bit/eat/chew my volknot. now im honestly not sure if this was a dream or not. if it was real it was prolly the cat, cuz he sleeps with me, and is only pet allowed on my air mattress.

if it wasnt however.....i dunno how the house dog coulda done it, she knows not to get on my bed. but there was also a mischievous grinning quality to the animal.

as to a really really far off guess......."the fenris wolf?" grinning, evil, son of the trickster, and being along with a norse symbol too?(the volknot)

i honestly dunno what to make of the dream now that i remembered it. it didnt bother me, however i feel that it could be important in some way......

any input appreciated

Sounds like a cool dream. :coool: - Maybe your totem animal is a wolf?

hhmm i suppose its possible.... i have a book on animal totems i read a bit on, but never very thoroughly.

according to native american totems my symbol is a snake(fall)

but the point of the dream i was inquiring about was the part concerning my volknot, and why whatever it was had in its mouth for whatever reason...its just very strange to me...and whatever it means haha

Maybe totem animal was the wrong word... perhaps power animal or spirit guide is more what I meant. - You can have lots of those.

My own totem, under Native American astrology, is the Red Hawk or Falcon (Thunderbird Clan). But I have lot of 'power animals': for example, scorpions and butterflies, cats, snakes, etc.

Maybe the wolf is one of your power animals?

I do think that it is significant in your dream that the wolf pays attention to the Norse symbol. Maybe it was an astral Fenrir saying "hi" in your dream, validating your following as a Norse pagan (Asatru)?

It does sound a bit like what Carl Jung (mystic writer & psychologist) would call a "numinous" or spiritually significant dream.

- But whatever the interpretation, it does sound like a cool dream. :coool:

see thats the thing, it wasnt even a complete dream. one minute i was doing some dream thing for 15 dream mins or whatvr then i turn and open eyes/wake up but still asleep and see this thing trying to pull or do whatever to it. and that scene lasted for like less than a min dream time, a really brief but bright, point in the dream then back to your regularly scheduled dreams haha

i suppose you are right in one degree that it could be an astral affirmation of something of the faith i currently subscribe too. i'll post this on an Asatru board i frequent to get some input, but i get the impression they will call it a "UPG" or Unified Personal Gnosis. basically something that says anyone can believe whatever the fuck they want to and explain whatever or anything that happens to them in their own way, and there is no way of saying what it really is or isnt.

they follow something allong those lines, but i will give it a go. and i also agree with you on the fact that this could be important in some facet or another(in Jungian terms)
