:Obsession: I HAVE DREAMS WHERE I AM UNDER WATER SWIMMING TOWARS THE SURFACE WHICH ONLY SEEMS INCHES AWAY BUT I CAN NEVER SEEM TO GET THERE AND THEN I RUN OUT OF BREATH AND WAKE UP.....AND WHEN I WAKE UP I AM ACTUALLY OUT OF BREATH AND FEELS LIKE I WAS ABOUT TO PASS OUT IF I DIDNT WAKE UP.....WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN????

...generally when im in a situation i feel trapped in. Hows things at home, work...with you other half??

It could be health related. I realize this is an old post but feel I should mention this anyways.

My father was having dreams where he kept swallowing things. Like lighters, or quarters. He had this sick twisted dream where he was choking to death, and when he woke up he was literally out of breath.

You could stop breathing in your sleep creating this to affect your dreamstate. Turned out my dad had to get a sleep respirator thing after going for a sleep study.

If you have re-occuring dreams where you are choking, drowning, or cant breath; I would suggest talking to a doctor...
