I was just wondering what European metal groups people listen to. I'm partial to Nightwish and Rhapsody, myself.

I apologize for my insincerity and harsh or cheeky words, my intent was never mal but in good fun. I've retired from such foolish games permanently. I had fun here, but I cannot stay because the past is too haunting. To those friends I met here (and you know who you are!) I love you dearly and I miss you. Take good care, NO, and don't get yourselves into too much trouble!!! I'll be missing you guys.

weel,gotta make some light

Suff like Gamma Ray,At the gates,In Flames,Dark traqnuillity,Nigthwish,The Crown,Blind Guardian,The Haunted, Hatesphere,Vader,Mayhem, Burzum,Emperor,Immortal,Ildjarn, Entombed, Therion and now i don'tt recall others.

For italian Background there are.

Necrodeath (Old school celtic frost style proto black metal).

Lacuna Coil (sort of gothic rock/metal w female voice, there is much better right now)

Cripple Bastards (Crust/grindcore,very very interesting)

Novembre and IV Luna (goth for the masses)

Antropophagus (Forget about Cannibal Corpse or Monstrosity, here comes the pain)

Mothercare (Napalm death can suck on this!)

Raza de odio (soulfly-like latino/tribal sound)

Extrema (old as my grandmom, actually playing stuffs so nu metal...)

That is all that i remembered in five minutes.
If you want to know something about Italian bands....just come and get it!!!

I wanna dip my BALLS in it!
Where to begin? I'll list my Metal folder in alphabetical order xD...

Amaran (I'm pretty sure they're European), Andromeda, Arch-Enemy, Ayreon, Blind Guardian, Children of Bodom, Dark Tranquillity, Dimmy Borgir, Dragonforce (if the UK counts), Evergrey, Frederick Thordendal's Special Defects, Necrophagist, Nightwish, Opeth, Ram-Zet (I recommend the Escape album), Skyclad, The Old Dead Tree (before they became emo), Winds.

That's more or less it...there are more but I think this is enough.

I believe I posted a topic about this (well not in particular) about metal bands from Finland (see MYgrain web-links)
So many but my top 5 would have to be

1. Lacuna Coil (their style is so amazing)
2. MYgrain (indie metal band from Finland)
3. Children of Bodom
4. Borknagar
5. Moonspell
