Necrotic Obsession

if any of you has read some of my works i've put up here, including poetry, you can see i have a vivid imagination, and if i say so myself a not too bad way of expressing it. so in addition to writing my book, ive lately had the urge, or rather i've been thinking alot about comics, ya know superheroes and villians and crap, and all day at work im completely coming up with ideas for heroes and crap. so basically if anyone is interested in helping me brainstorm and wants to hear what ive come up with then that would be kick ass.

since i've got off work, ive been typing up thier abilities, history and how they got their powers, all teh usual crap.

right now ive got about six hard set heroes:
1)Psion(psionic powers and whatnot)
2)Powerline(can absorb nigh infinite energy, and can dish it out too)
3)Mr Elemental(can utilize the 5 elements and transmute his body with them, and exert some influence on his surroundings)
4)Lone Wolf(i'll admit its a bit a spoof off B-man, but different history and motives, and actions as a hero. a vigilante, type.
5)Crusader(a guy who has gone world wide in search of artifacts of power, his motives are unclear, he currently possesses Excalibur)
6)Commando(a military type who got sent back in time by a fluke accident. has super strength, high intelligence, and could be called a maschoist. think of a combination of the director of marvels shield guy, combined with captain america and the punisher.)

I don't think that's the word your looking for, for one the spelling is wrong. It would be masochist, but only if this definition fits him

Okay I'm done with the nitpicking, on to the subject.

I like comics. But I tend to go for less spandex and more grit. Take the movie hancock, no spandex, and its a superhero movie. They are normal people living in a normal world who just happen to have special abilities.

I would love to see your work nonetheless, can you give me a link to any? I have a few ideas of my own of course, and like most people they are only half done, as I'm looking for the right medium to express them in.

right now its all typing and no art. i've got the ideas and im working on their personalities. once i get most or one complete one finished, and online i'll throw you a link.

as for commando id say only the first link applies excluding only the first definition. basically think of a "tank" ya know a guy that is all gung ho and eats pain for breakfast, military style with his own sense of justice and all that.


plus he's not even one of the top characters. the real ones i see having potential and stories are the first 3 Psion, Powerline, and Mr Elemental.

this is just an example of one of the characters i've come up with. wasnt listed above, but thought of him and here ya go, whaddya think?

btw if you have any ideas for names based on his power theme feel free to throw it out there.



TEMPEST(THRASHER)- this is a character who gets his powers from music. As a toddler his parents who were scientists often took him to work with them. During one of those visits an experiment in a nearby room involving radiation went wrong. The room with the experiment was supposedly shielded, but had had recent repairs made to it, some of them, faulty and thus allowing experimental and dangerous radiation to escape. The young child who had recently received a vaccination for a particularly resistant strain of cold, was thus exposed. When the radiation hit his body, the music that was playing coursed in a radioactive tidal-wave over him, and at first the sound waves decimated his cellular structure. Only the vaccination he had received, which utilized adaptive nanobots/nanomeds allowed him to survive, and his body was forever changed turning what was deadly into a potent ally. Much the same as superman, and absorbing the suns yellow rays. Depending on the musics “energy” or rather the emotions conveyed through music depends on the intensity and length his cells will hold a charge. For example classical music is one of the best types of music for Tempest to listen to, classical music being slow to build up and methodical, and strong, it would evoke the same type of reaction out of his body. For Tempest, it depends on the music he listens to, varying the strength and charge of how long his cells become energized by certain types of music. His powers would include, super strength, invulnerability and possibly super speed, all dependent on how long he had been exposed to music, and depending on the type of music.
