I am a big fan of anne rice books i read both mayfair witches and vampire chronicles just finished reading merrick. i got to say that she is by far the best author i have ever read

i kinda stopped reading vamp chronicles after armand. i didnt like that one too much personally i liked the last vamp chronicle as memnoch the devil was really good. should try reading merrick its kind of an off series but yeah vamp chronicles was done after memnoch. but then again i always hated armand he was such a dumbass. Mayfair witches was good until the end and the one she wrote on the side Merrick was a stand alone that combined mayfair witches and vampire chronicles came out really good.

Armand was my favorite character. I hated the Mayfair series. Her book about Jesus just made me cringe.

Well my suggestion is if you Really like Anne Rice and want to get into some of her best work in my opinion is go into her Sleeping Beauty trilogy. :D that stuff is messed up but it SOOOOO rocks :D

I love the newer books just as much as the older ones, the only book I cannot stand is The Tale of the Body Thief... it's also the only one I've read only once. The newer books aren't the same as the older ones obviously, but there's a nice transition in Lestat throughout the series that I find interesting. In fact I've started re-re-re-re-re-re- (I'm not sure how many times I've read through them all lol) reading them all.

yeah tale of body thief wasnt the greatest but it wasnt too bad either. So far vampire lestat was my favorite book i am about to start new tales of vampires and think gonna check out that sleeping beauty trilogy havnt heard of it but its worth a shot. i been looking for other authors who write good books at least on her level of writing.

I could never get into Anne Rice books. There's something about her writing style that just doesn't appeal to me.
